Listening

LISTENING

Listen! Or your tongue will make you deaf.

As I grow older I realize that I find myself listening more and more, I learn much more when I am listening.

Over the years I have grown to realize that there are many ways to listen, and are important ways.

I listen to myself, being raised in a white world, they taught me not to listen to myself and too ignore that there was something to listen to.

I listen to other people, especially our Elders. As I hear them speak, I find more and more that there is a hunger deep inside of me. And I want to feed this hunger by there words and there teachings.

I need to listen more to nature. For Nature is one of the best teachers. My white upbringing had tried to keep me from nature, and all the good and postive things that is in this world. But thank goodness that I let my spirit guide me back to the ways of listening.

I need to listen more to the Creator, and find the Creator inside of me. As well as in others and all around me, in nature and in the universe. If we do not listen to Grandfather we will miss all the important messages, and get off the right path. If my tongue had not made me deaf. I could hear the voice of the universe.

Listening takes time.
